This is a masterpiece for me. The scent opens with rose, which is not listed in the notes. It is surely there, and it is boozy, deep, red, with geranium facets. As a man, I find rose difficult to wear, but the rose here is different. It is botanical, and savage, full of thorns and vegetal aromatic rushes. This floral intoxication is short lived though. The France then takes on a second life. This one is even darker: a smell of Arabian spices, notably clove, and smokey Frankincense. Beautiful. You can detect oud in the dry down, as well as an addictive black leather accord. The true players in this fragrance, however, are rose and frankincense. My God, they dance beautifully!
