I had never heard of the original perfume but after reading the reviews on this scent, I thought it may be something for me and if even if I do not like it the monetary loss isn't big since it was on Black Friday deal and I was ordering a few anyway. Am I so glad I bought it! I absolutely love this scent. It does indeed smell like lipstick or vintage cosmetics, so if that's not your mojo, stay clear. I personally find it very feminine, elegant and empowering. It usually gravitate towards fresh scents and this one is warmer but still soft enough. It's the perfect winter scent for me. I looked up the original (never smelled it) and the price is very high! If this impression is anything like the original its well worth it and even if it isn't, it's great anyway.
